Welcome to SuperNOVA at Dalhousie University



We are a not-for-profit initiative of Dalhousie University that provides youth in Atlantic Canada with fun, educational, and inspiring experiences in science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM).

Through exciting classroom workshops, high-impact clubs and events, and our amazing summer camp programs, youth explore the importance of STEM in their lives, interact with inspiring mentors, and develop critical skills and attitudes for lifelong learning. SuperNOVA is Hiring!

SuperNOVA is excited to be hiring a new full-time year-round Program Assistant to help us deliver even more programs in our community. If you love working with kids, have completed an undergraduate degree in a STEM field, and are interested in STEM education, this is the job for you! Fall Programming 2017

We are very excited to be able to announce that registration is now open for our fall programming!

Our ITS for Girls program is an all-girls program with female mentors, volunteers and instructors that introduces girls in grades 4-6 and 7-9 to different aspects of science, technology, engineering and math through site visits and mentors working in industry. We organize monthly meetings throughout the year from September-June!

For the first time SuperNOVA is organizing tutoring sessions on Thursday evenings in the Fall term from September 14-December 7th. SuperNOVA instructors who are students at Dalhousie will be working as the tutors throughout the Fall.

Actua Experience Award 2016

SuperNOVA is delighted to have been awarded the Actua Experience Award for our 2016 Go Where Kids Are programming, which reached hundreds of kids in Atlantic Canada. Through this program we were able to provide camps, clubs and workshops in rural, remote, and low-income communities all over Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We're honoured to have been selected for this award, and would like to extend our thanks to Actua, the Actua Network, Dalhousie University, and all of our many many community partners, instructors, volunteers and friends.
